Classic Almond Cookies

You are going to love these easy, classic almond cookies as much as I do.

One of my favourite things about BJJ is the sense of community and the way we can always reach out to each other for tips and advice. This even extends to off the mat activities and nutrition is so closely linked to on the mat perfromance.

So often people will share their favourite recipes or snacks, especially something specific to either a certain diet or  fake cheats like these cookies. This recipe is a classic, I first got it from another BJJ girl @djjolie and I have continued to re-use it, adapt it and share it ever since.

It’s very easy to add extras to this recipe and make it your own or change it up. You simply need to keep an eye on the dryness and consistency of the mix so that the cookies still bind.

To make simply chuck all the ingredients in a bowl, mix and seperate in to cookies.



150g ground almonds
2 tbsp coconut oil
2 tbsp honey

Scoop of protein powder – any flavour
Tbsp of cacao
Orange zest
